Changelog v1.29 - March 13, 2026
Summary
Payment collection gets a major upgrade with the introduction of physical card reader terminal support, reducing friction at checkout and adding another payment opportunity.
Procedure documentation becomes significantly faster with the addition of Quick Picks lists, allowing providers to pre-configure commonly used procedures and populate documentation with a single selection — less time charting means more time for other things!
Patients now have greater self-service access to their own records through the portal, with discharge papers and payment receipts available for download, improving transparency and reducing follow-up calls to the front desk.
Service Category visibility has been extended across the tracking board, patient charts, and PDFs, giving management and staff a consistent, complete picture of the type of care being delivered at every touchpoint.
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Billing
Payment Collection
- Introduced support for a physical card reader terminal, enabling in-person tap, swipe, and chip payments directly within the EHR to speed up check-in/checkout (#6293 (opens in a new tab)).
- Resolved a common friction point where the credit card entry screen required an explicit "Add" click that patients frequently missed — payments now register more reliably, reducing failed or incomplete payment captures (#4830 (opens in a new tab)).
Claims, Coding, and Compliance
- Added the 99080 E&M code ("Preparation of special reports beyond what is found in the medical record") to the E&M code drop-down, ensuring providers can accurately bill for administrative documentation work (#6396 (opens in a new tab)).
- Improved HCPCS code search to return faster, more accurate results, reducing time spent hunting for the right billing code (#6352 (opens in a new tab)).
- Added 91-QW modifiers to the in-house lab order screen for Alcohol Confirmation tests to ensure proper reimbursement for CLIA-waived testing (#6151 (opens in a new tab)).
- Added Laterality Modifiers to Radiology CPT codes, enabling accurate left/right/bilateral claim submission and reducing rejections for laterality-sensitive procedures (#6047 (opens in a new tab)).
- In-house medication CPT codes are now automatically added to the additional CPT codes field and synced to Candid in the standard way, eliminating a manual billing step and reducing the risk of claim errors (#6059 (opens in a new tab)).
- Added an "Attorney for Motor Vehicle Accident" section to the Visit Details PDF to support documentation requirements for MVA-related cases (#6212 (opens in a new tab)).
Clinical Documentation and Workflow
AI and Intake
- Enhanced the HPI AI (Agentic Intake) to surface a notification when key OLDCARTS-A data elements are missing from the patient history, prompting more complete documentation before the provider encounter (#5728 (opens in a new tab)).
- Added automatic retry logic for AI calls that encounter rate limiting, improving the reliability and consistency of AI-assisted features (#6391 (opens in a new tab)).
- Implemented incremental paperwork harvesting to progressively capture patient intake data as it is completed, reducing data loss risk and improving the reliability of the intake process (#5693 (opens in a new tab)).
Procedures and Documentation Efficiency
- Introduced Quick Picks (Favorites) lists for Procedures, allowing providers to save and auto-populate commonly used procedure documentation with a single selection — significantly reducing repetitive data entry and speeding up charting (#5791 (opens in a new tab), #6249 (opens in a new tab)).
- Updated Patient Instructions template search to look across both title and instruction content, making it faster to find the right template without needing to remember exact names (#6368 (opens in a new tab)).
- Added an "Add All" button to the Vitals screen, allowing staff to populate all vital fields in one click and reducing unnecessary steps during patient intake (#4670 (opens in a new tab)).
- Preserved diagnoses added during a lab order even if the associated external lab is deleted, preventing accidental loss of clinical documentation (#6166 (opens in a new tab)).
- Improved the messaging displayed when deleting in-house lab diagnoses to be clearer and less ambiguous for clinical staff (#6428 (opens in a new tab)).
Patient Records and Visit Details
- Added direct access to the Patient Profile and Patient Documents from the Visit Details screen, reducing navigation steps and keeping providers focused on the encounter at hand (#6187 (opens in a new tab)).
- Enabled re-uploading of insurance and ID cards directly from the Visit Details screen, allowing staff to quickly correct or update documentation without navigating away (#4900 (opens in a new tab)).
- Added Service Category to the Patient Chart and all generated PDFs, ensuring consistent service classification is visible wherever patient records are reviewed (#6144 (opens in a new tab)).
Tracking Board and Operational Visibility

Procedures now appear under the Orders column on the Tracking Board, giving staff a greater real-time view of all pending clinical work in a single place (#6107 (opens in a new tab)).

-
Service Category is now displayed on the Tracking Board for Telemed encounters, giving staff and management instant visibility into the type of care being delivered across all visit types (#6060 (opens in a new tab)).
Patient Experience and Portal
- Added payment receipts to the Patient Portal so patients can independently access proof of payment, reducing front desk follow-up requests (#3907 (opens in a new tab)).
