The Patient experience captures the process from the moment a patient needs service to the moment they are joined by a provider. Typically, they log into the patient portal with their account, choose a patient who they manage (perhaps themselves, a partner, parent, or a child), then select a service they wish to have. After that, they provide demographic information about the patient as well as payment information and sign necessary forms.
The patient experience for both In-Person and Virtual visits begins with three parts.
- Choosing a service (In-Person visit or Virtual/Telemed)
- Choosing a time (immediate or at a future available time slot)
- Filling out the paperwork in advance for the visit
For Virtual Visits, the patient experience then moves to the telemedicine session.
