Oystehr v1.0 ā December 15 2023
š„³ ZapEHR 1.0 is here! Read on to find out about the changes going live in ZapEHR's biggest release ever.
Ottehr
Today we are releasing Ottehr, a HIPAA-compliant, open-source telemed EHR. Ottehr offers secure video and chat, patient waiting rooms, and provider management in an easy to fork and run package.
To learn more about Ottehr and how to get started, check out the Ottehr homepage (opens in a new tab).
Telemed Service
Also launching today is our Telemed service. Telemed allows you to build cross-platform video calls into your applications. Ottehr is built on top of Telemed, and we're excited to see what you build with it! Find out more about Telemed in our docs.
RCM Service
We're excited to announce the beta release of our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service. RCM is a managed service that allows you to perform insurance eligibility checks. In the future, you will also be able to submit claims to payers and receive payment for your services. Find out more about RCM in our docs.
New Documentation Site
You're on it! We've completely overhauled our documentation site to make it easier to navigate and find what you're looking for. This change also gives us the opportunity to improve our documentation with better diagrams, images, and walkthroughs.
Check out our Guides for workflow-specific ideas on how to use ZapEHR, or our Services documentation for in-depth information about each service ZapEHR offers.
Additional Changes
- Our official Postman Collection (opens in a new tab) now includes the ZapEHR Project ID header by default to make it easier to interact with the Project and FHIR APIs with a developer token.
- Small visual tweaks and quality of life improvements for the Developer Console (opens in a new tab).
- Improved pagination for the FHIR API when working with large lists of resources.
What's Next?
We're not done yet! Our big goals can always be found on our Roadmap, but here's a sneak peak at some of the other changes we're planning for the future:
- More improvements to the Developer Console (opens in a new tab).
- Hosted OpenAPI documentation so you can plug the source of our API Reference into your favorite OpenAPI tools.
- Open-sourced TypeScript SDK.
